Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has date in mind to sign Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to sign Joao Felix and Bruno Fernandes as soon as the summer transfer window opens, according to reports.

The Portuguese duo are high on the Red Devils' wishlist, which contains around five players including a centre midfielder and a right-back.

Manchester United are in desperate need of new recruits and appear set to part company with some big names this summer.

Paul Pogba has been linked with a move away in recent weeks, as has Belgium international Romelu Lukaku and even David De Gea, who remains in a contract stand-off with the Old Trafford club.

According to the Evening Standard, Solskjaer doesn't want to waste any time in signing the talented duo, who have attracted interest from a number of top clubs.

The paper adds that Solskjaer is looking to sign the pair - who represent Benfica and Sporting Lisbon respectively - for a combined fee of £150million.

A number of former Manchester United players have been very vocal about the problems at the club in recent weeks, following defeat by Everton and a draw against Chelsea.

"I always think at Manchester United and at big clubs, you're only as good as your centre forwards are and your attacking players. I'm not sure whether these attacking players are good enough.
