Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gives Paul Pogba update as Man United face injury crisis for Arsenal test

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided an update on his squad's injuries ahead of Monday night's meeting with Arsenal.

Unai Emery's men travel to Old Trafford to take on Solskjaer's men with both clubs looking to push for a top four finish in the Premier League at the end of the season after missing out last campaign.

The Red Devils have some injury worries ahead of the match, with up to eight players missing for the encounter.

Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Diogo Dalot, Angel Gomes and Paul Pogba are all injury concerns.

Ahead of the visit of Arsenal, Solskjaer revealed how the treatment room at Carrington is looking.

"Er... not really!" Was the manager's answer when asked if there was any positive news (via Manchester Evening News ).

"Luke’s back in training today so let’s see how he is, he’s getting there so let’s see how he reacts the next couple of days, he’s been working really hard, hope to see him before international break.

Unai Emery praises Gabriel Martinelli

"Rashford and Martial? I wouldn’t put my life on it but that’s part of this game, you work with what you have and we’re looking forward to this game."

Midfielder Paul Pogba made a return from injury by playing the full 90 minutes of the Carabao Cup tie against Rochadale on Wednesday night, but the Frenchman picked up another knock that could see him miss the Arsenal match.

"The Situation is he finished the game," said Solskjaer when asked about the midfielder. "90 minutes, fantastic but he got a knock to his ankle which is very swollen so was better not to go there with the team and he’s in a race for Monday.

"Doubt? Yes, but that’s just the way it is."
