Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given an update on the fitness of captain Harry Maguire ahead of the Premier League clash against Tottenham.
The two sides meet at Old Trafford on Sunday with both teams suffering an indifferent start to the season.
United have picked up one victory and another defeat from their opening two league games, while Spurs have picked up four points from a possible nine so far.
Both sides were in action in midweek, with Spurs winning a Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea on penalties on Tuesday night, before a 7-2 thrashing of Maccabi Haifa in the Europa League on Thursday.
United, meanwhile, made a second trip to Brighton in five days following their Premier League win against Graham Potter's side.
They picked up another win in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, but Solskjaer confirmed that Maguire had picked up a small ankle injury during the victory.
However, the England international will be fit for the game at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
"Harry had a knock after the league game, holding his ankle," Solskjaer told reporters in his pre-match press conference.
"He should be okay, we’re okay no more injuries from the cup game."
Solskjaer admits that his side are still not quite where he wants them to be from a physical point of view after their extended break at the end of last season following their Europa League exploits.
However, he is hoping to see an improvement both in terms of performances and results following a loss against Crystal Palace and a very late win over Brighton in the league.
"Well a result will always be a consequence of the performance you put in," Solskjaer added. "The more we improve our performance the bigger chance to win.
"Players are getting fitter, sharper, stronger, even though we’re a few games behind in that respect we hope to see improvement and need to, especially from the league games."
