Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gives five reasons behind Manchester United's unbeaten Premier League run

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the signing of Bruno Fernandes has underpinned Manchester United's unbeaten run in the Premier League.

United are undefeated in their last 13 league games and their last defeat to Burnley was in the final league game before Fernandes joined from Sporting Lisbon in January.

Fernandes has made 13 league starts for United and they have not lost a single one ahead of their decisive final day trip to Leicester City, who trail United by a point.

United were also buoyed by the returns of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford from long-term injuries for the Premier League restart last month and travel to Leicester in third; United's highest position since August.

"Many, many factors, many reasons," Solskjaer explained of United's improvement. "Belief: if you look at that game against Burnley, we should have won that one, but that's football and Premier League for you; you have to take your chances.

"The belief, the confidence, the change of atmosphere, Bruno coming in has made a massive difference, we've got our best players fit and raring to go.

"It's been many different reasons for the upturn but it's been down to the work, trust in us, step-by-step belief and trust in what we've said and the boys have worked really hard. The fitness levels and mental robustness is so much better than last season.

"I think confidence levels have to be high, we've given ourselves a great chance going into last game, when the last game of the season is in front of you you expect any players to have bruises, aches, some tiredness, that's natural in every player.

"Even though this season has been different it's still been a draining one for everyone, but we've got enough energy for 90 minutes, there'll be injury time as well!

"Having been so far behind with the restart we had to go for it, we had to go for goals, we had to go for points and it's been a great effort by everyone to get into this position with one game to go.

"Let's get this game out of the way and get the third position and continue the growth and the journey this team is on. Of course, we've had some hard times this season, some setbacks, but I think we've shown this is a team going places.

"And if we can finish the season with a trophy in Europe and third position we can discuss [if it's a successful season] then."
