Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes is already showing signs of frustration having been pushed out wide according to Steve McClaren, which could create more problems for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Portuguese star has been United's star performer since making the move from Sporting Lisbon in January.
But he has been pushed out to a wider position in recent weeks which has resulted in a drop off.
It has also seen Fernandes visibly show his frustration according to the Red Devils former assistant.
This could present Solskjaer with a major issue as he continues to be questioned on his reluctance to use summer signing Donny van de Beek.
The Dutchman is yet to start a game but accommodating him with Fernandes will prove challenging should the Portuguese star fail to influence games from the right.
“I’ve been watching Bruno Fernandes and he’s disappointed”, McClaren said on talkSPORT .
"He’s disappointed because he’s been taken out of the middle and he’s out on the right-hand side.
“I saw it last week against Newcastle, when he went out wide, and I’m seeing it again now. His body language is not good, he’s not getting involved."
Fernandes has scored three times this term, although two of them have come from the spot.
Solskjaer has maintained that van de Beek will get his chances to impress but hasn't given any indication as to when that will be.
“He’ll get his games, don’t worry about that,” he said. “It’s easy to say who should be playing and more difficult to say who shouldn’t.”
But former United star Patrice Evra has been puzzled by the club's decision to sign the Dutchman, especially given the form of Fernandes last season.
"He’s an attacking midfielder, his strength is getting in the box and getting at the end of things and scoring goals or creating like (Bruno) Fernandes.
“If he has to compete with Fernandes he’s not going to play is he?”
