Ole Gunnar Solskjaer delivers inspiring Man Utd rally call ahead of Tottenham clash

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has issued an inspiring rallying cry to his Man Utd players and the clubs fans ahead of their crunch clash with Tottenham.

After three months off, United return to action against Spurs in their first match of the Premier League restart on Friday.

United were in fine form prior to the suspension of football due to coronavirus, going unbeaten in 11 games in all competitions.

Their performances brought a sense of renewed optimism at the club and a feel good factor around Old Trafford.

Now with just three points separating them and fourth-placed Chelsea, Solskjaer is urging his side to reverse the club's slump of recent years to put themselves back among the top sides.

The United boss teamed up with Adidas to release a video building up United's return.

Solskjaer said: "While the world waits, we get ready. Ready to watch the boys emerge from this dark tunnel and onto the turf again. Ready to show what it means to be united again.

"This is the one for the Busby Babes, Georgie Best, The Class of '92, The Stretford End, and every single one of us.

"Ready to take this moment and make it ours, because let's be honest, nobody does a comeback quite like United."

Much of the anticipation for United is revolving around the returns of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford.

Pogba has been out injured since Boxing Day, and has only made eight appearances all season, but is expected to lineup alongside new signing Bruno Fernandes for the first time in United's midfield.

Meanwhile Rashford has been out for a similar length of time after suffering a double stress fracture of his back in January, but has now made a full recovery.

He is also expected to be involved, and is likely to receive a warm reception for his impressive work in persuading a Government U-turn on their free school meals campaign.

Tottenham have some returning stars of their own though, with talisman Harry Kane the key figure making his comeback.

Kane has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since New Years' Day, but Jose Mourinho has confirmed the striker will start for the visit of United.
