Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms injury setback for Manchester United ahead of Crystal Palace clash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that the Red Devils will be without defender Diogo Dalot for the Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace.

Palace travel to Old Trafford to take on Man United tomorrow (Saturday) looking to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United last week .

The Eagles have one point so far this season, after an opening day goalless draw with Everton, while United have four points having followed up their 4-0 victory over Chelsea with a 1-1 draw against Wolves at Molineux on Monday.

Ahead of the game, Solkjaer has given an injury update on his squad, with just Dalot expected to be out until after the international break.

“It is more or less the same (squad),” he told the Manchester United App.

“Diogo is injured, he’ll be out for a little while, hopefully he’ll be back for after the international break. He’s had a problem for a couple of weeks. But that’s it.”

Dalot made 16 Premier League appearances for Man United last season, including playing 77 minutes in the trip to Selhurst Park in February, a game which ended 3-1 in favour of the Red Devils.

The Portuguese U20 international did however have the start of his season disrupted by injury and it seems that it is a similar case in the 2019/20 campaign, with him yet to make wither of the match day squads.

Solskjaer will be hoping that the 20-year-old will be able to make his return for the home game against Leicester City after the international break.
