Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirms Diogo Dalot Manchester United injury

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed that Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot has suffered an injury setback.

The Portuguese full-back has not been involved in either of United's match-day squads in the Premier League so far this season, and is set to miss the next few weeks of action.

Dalot played 193 minutes for United during pre-season and was last seen as an unused substitute in the final friendly fixture against AC Milan in Cardiff.

However, the Portugal youth international will definitely miss the weekend match against Crystal Palace after the club confirmed his injury lay-off on Friday moning.

United face Palace and Southampton ahead of the first international break of the new season, but Solskjaer hopes Dalot will be back in contention for the games against Leicester and West Ham in mid-September.

"It is more or less the same (squad)," Solskjaer told the United App ahead of Saturday's clash with Crystal Palace.

"Diogo is injured, he'll be out for a little while, hopefully he'll be back for (the games) after the international break. He's had a problem for a couple of weeks. But that's it."

Eric Bailly remains sidelined following a serious knee injury during United's pre-season tour of China and is expected to miss the next four to five months of action.
