Ole Gunnar Solskjaer comments spell bad news for Paul Pogba after Man Utd win

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s comments on Manchester United’s midfield may spell bad news for Paul Pogba.

United picked up a huge 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday lunchtime as they appeared to turn the corner on some poor form.

It was a hotly contested affair at Goodison Park, with plenty of challenges flying in.

The Red Devils held firm though to secure a much needed win and push themselves up the table.

And the first people Solskjaer pointed too were his starting midfield three of Scott McTominay, Fred and man of the match, Bruno Fernandes, which could suggest Pogba has his work cut out to earn a place in his side again.

“If we can get this determination, mindset, approach every single game, we'll be hard to play against,” said Solskjaer.

“You see all the tackles that Scott and Fred were winning in the middle there. We're tight, we're compact, we win the ball, we play, we've got spaces, that's how we want to see these boys. So we're very pleased with that.”

Solskjaer also praised Fernandes’ performance as he picked up the man of the match award for an exceptionally busy performance.

“Bruno was brilliant, top, absolutely top. Fantastic,” he added. “It was a great performance, of course, leading the boys.

“His desire and determination, he's everywhere on the pitch.

“Sometimes that frustrates me because sometimes passes are played to where he should have been and he's not there. But when you've got someone who drives them [the team] on like this, of course you're very happy.”
