Manchester United have named Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their manager.
The Old Trafford giants have given the Norwegian the job on a three-year deal – as Record Sport Online reported nearly three weeks ago.
The appointment has been inevitable given the transformation United have made since Solskjaer arrived on a caretaker basis following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December.
Solksjaer has won 14 of his 19 games in charge, reviving hopes of a top-four finish and unexpectedly guiding United to the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
A Manchester United statement read: "We can announce that current caretaker manager and former striker, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has been appointed as the club’s full-time manager on a three-year contract."
Solskjaer is thrilled to be handed the reins and he said: “From the first day I arrived, I felt at home at this special club.

Solskjaer's appointment has been met with universal approval. His former United teammate Peter Schmeichel said: "Congratulations my friend, it is well deserved. Up and onwards let’s chase some trophies."
