Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick spotted supporting former Manchester United coach Kieran McKenna at Ipswich

Former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and caretaker Michael Carrick were spotted at Ipswich Town's clash with Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night.

They were in attendance at the Keepmoat Stadium as ex-Reds coach Kieran McKenna continues his new managerial role at Ipswich after replacing Paul Cook at Portman Road.

It follows the Norwegian's appearance at a recent United clash as his daughter, Karna, made her debut in the Women's Super League for the Reds aged just 18.

Carrick, who left his position at the Theatre of Dreams after Ralf Rangnick's appointment, was pictured with the former United manager as McKenna looked to take his side closer to the play-offs.

They saw their former colleague put on a dominant display against the League One strugglers with Tyreeq Bakinson's goal in the first half enough to secure the three points in Yorkshire.

One fan tweeted: "Ole & Carrick in the ground tonight. Nice to see them supporting McKenna! Let’s put on a performance!"

Another joked: "I’d take both for the coaching team."

Since departing Old Trafford, McKenna has lost twice whilst in charge of the Tractor Boys as they sit six points off Wycombe and Oxford United in the play-offs.

With no return in sight for either Solskjaer or Carrick, their three-year and 15-year stints at United came to an end in November and December respectively.
