Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Alexis Sanchez arrive at Man Utd training amid U-turn claims

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Alexis Sanchez were pictured arriving at Manchester United's Carrington training ground for crunch talks on Monday.

Sanchez looked set to complete a loan switch to Inter Milan this summer but the deal is now apparently on the rocks.

Red Devils boss Solskjaer initially made it clear that the Chilean is allowed to leave, with United keen to get him off their books due to the financial outlay.

Inter emerged as favourites, but aren't keen on paying a bigger slice of Sanchez' £500,000-a-week wages to make the move happen.

But now an injury to Anthony Martial has thrown the loan move into further question, with the Red Devils now having second thoughts over parting company with the Chilean.

Frenchman Martial suffered a thigh injury during United's 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace , with Luke Shaw damaging his hamstring in the same match.

Sources told ESPN that United are waiting to discover the extent of Martial's injury before they will make a final decision regarding Sanchez.

"Alexis is a quality player. We don't have loads of options," Solskjaer told the Evening Standard.

"If there is an offer that's good enough for the club and him maybe he will go, but if not then he's still our player and he's a quality player."

United dropped points for the second time this season as they suffered a last minute defeat to Palace, following their 1-1 draw with Wolves last Monday.

And Solskjaer has issued a warning to his players to learn from their mistakes quickly or see any hopes of challenging in the Premier League this season disappear.

"We have to learn and we have to learn quickly," said Solskjaer. "From the last two games we should have got six points out of six if you look at the games as a neutral.

"We're two missed penalties away from sitting there smiling, happy with nine points."

"We didn't have enough urgency and penetration in the first half until they scored," Solskjaer said. "They never looked like creating anything. We felt maybe it was too easy. That's when you need that tempo change.

"I thought we did that in the second half, we were excellent in that respect with more pressure, more chances, more urgency, but of course you've got to hit the target and score the goals when you have those moments."
