Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits rest of Man Utd squad aren't used to Bruno Fernandes' quality

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Bruno Fernandes' brain is "quicker than many others" and Manchester United are still getting used to his quality.

The Red Devils landed Portugal international Fernandes for an initial £47million in January, after pursuing him since the summer transfer window.

The former Sporting Lisbon midfielder made his debut for United in the Red Devils' final Premier League match against Wolves before the winter break.

The 0-0 draw provided Solskjaer with a first look at the midfielder, who seized his opportunity to demonstrate his passing range at Old Trafford.

Discussing Fernandes, Solskjaer said: "He is a very, very good footballer and his brain is obviously quicker than many others.

"He's got loads of attributes that we're going to get used to... his passing range, deliveries, movements, I'm just pleased to see him here enjoying himself."

Solskjaer isn't the only man at United who has been waxing lyrical about Fernandes in recent weeks. Summer signing Daniel James also likes what he has seen from the Portuguese, and believes the midfielder is adapting fast to life at Old Trafford.

"He is settling in great. I know quite a few of the boys speak his language and he speaks great English as well," James told Manchester United's website.

"So, I think as soon as he came in he put his stamp on the game and he showed what he is about in that last game, on his debut.

"He was great, with the balls he played in behind and, for me, if we can get that bond, especially playing it in behind, I think that will be great."
