Oldham road blocked after reported collision

A blocked road is causing travel disruption in Oldham after reports of a road traffic collision.

The incident, which took place near Park Cakes Bakery in the Hathershaw area of the town, has left Ashton Road blocked and is causing delays, while there could also potentially be an affect on bus services in the area.

Motorists planning to use the road, which connects Oldham and Ashton Under Lyne, have been advised to seek alternative routes to their destination.

A tweet from Transport for Greater Manchester said: “Road blocked. Reports of an RTC on Ashton Road, Oldham near Park Cakes Bakery.

“Bus services may be affected. If you're heading this way, please seek an alternative route.”
