Old team sheet shows just how far Nottingham Forest new-boy Albert Adomah has come

Nottingham Forest new-boy Albert Adomah will look back on his career as a rags to riches story when he retires.

The Lambeth-born winger has climbed from the very bottom to chase his dream to become a footballer.

Ten years ago, he joined Barnet for his first foray into the professional game, but prior to that the Ghanaian had been plying his trade down in the basement of non-league with Harrow Borough.

As Harrow battled for promotion out of English football's seventh tier, the same level as nearby Basford United currently compete, Adomah was studying Decorative Finishing and Industrial Painting at a nearby college, preparing himself for a life without football.

But his talents would soon be noticed by first the Bees, and then Bristol City, Middlesbrough and Ghana.

This week, Beaconsfield Town, who lined up to face him back in 2007, tweeted a team sheet from twelve years ago that shows Lamouchi's new signing as a 19-year-old lining-up at the Earlsmead Stadium.

His move to the City Ground comes three months on from his play-off final victory at Wembley, during which he played a key role in helping Aston Villa back to the Premier League.
