Old shipping containers in Bristol transformed into office pods

Twelve old shipping containers in Bristol have been transformed into office pods.

Each of the repurposed containers at Podville, on Great Park Road in Almondsbury, has room for up to six desks.

The 40ft pods also have air conditioning, high-speed internet and double glazing.

Users of the pods, which are available to rent, will also have access to a meeting room. kitchen and toilet facilities. There is also car parking and secure cycle storage on site.

Amy Hoskins of Bristol-based property firm ETP, which is renting out a number of the pods jointly with Alder King, said: “Shipping containers have already proved popular in the centre of Bristol where they have been used for a variety of commercial purposes perfectly geared for fast-on-their-feet clients.

"They are fulfilling a real need on the busy North Bristol fringe for smaller, highly flexible office accommodation.”

Podville is located within an established commercial estate with neighbouring tenants including RAC and EE.

Amy added: “Podville is ideal for smaller companies, start-ups and entrepreneurs who can pick and choose accommodation to suit their precise needs rather than letting units which are too large or too small. Everything they need is on their doorstep.

“They are funky and fully functional for businesses on the go.”
