Old Leeds United foe returns just in time for Sheffield Wednesday - opposition injury news

Sheffield Wednesday welcome back goalkeeper Keiren Westwood for Leeds United’s visit to Hillsborough on Saturday.

The veteran stopper is associated with a very good record against Leeds United in recent years, although he has been on the losing side the last three times he has faced them.

Massimo Luongo, who scored the winner in each of Wednesday’s last two home matches, is available after coming off with a knock in midweek.

Tomorrow’s game comes too soon for ex-United defender and Owls captain Tom Lees, on his way back after two months out with a hamstring issue.

Monk said: “Tom did part of the training today and is back in full training tomorrow.

“He is going to need a period of building up his football fitness. He won’t be available for Saturday, but we’re delighted to have him back out on the pitches.

“As I said, it’s just about building his football fitness now and bringing him back into contention.”
