Old home of top Nottingham restaurant goes up for sale

A well-loved former restaurant in Nottingham has gone up for sale.

The building once used by Nottingham’s award-winning Hart’s Restaurant in Park Row, has appeared on Rightmove.

Owner Tim Hart downsized in 2019, opening a more intimate restaurant within his boutique hotel next door at the top of Standard Hill.

At the time, Mr Hart said it was "very sad" but the city no longer has the same appetite for up-market dining as it did when he opened the restaurant in 1997.

The restaurant, which used to be part of Nottingham's old General Hospital, had 80 seats.

Agents say the venue is "suitable for alternative uses" but is currently fitted out as a restaurant with facilities for functions or events. It also benefits from two car parking spaces, according to the advert.

The Victorian building, marketed by Innes England Ltd, is listed as POA (price on application).
