It's no secret that trends come back around - who'd have thought we'd be ditching ultra tight skinny jeans in favour of our parents' staple denim flares?
And, it seems, the same can be said for baby names, after an influx of old fashioned names have been handed down to tots in 2021 so far.
According to the Office of National Statistics, two 'vintage' names in particular have seen a huge rise in the UK in the last year or two, and people think they know the reason why.
The names Arthur and Ada have re-appeared on the list of the most popular baby names in the UK for the first time in a whole century, having fallen from popularity back in the early 1900s.
Between 1900 and 1924, the names were hugely popular, but have rarely been used to name youngsters until coming back into circulation in around 2018.
Arthur was among the 10 most popular boys' names, but dropped off the list entirely, before reappearing in seventh place, and later climbing to fourth. Similarly, Ada reappeared in 65th place in 2018, before climbing to 47th the following year and continuing to rise.
While old fashioned names working their way back into circulation, it's thought these two particular names have grown in popularity due to featuring in hugely popular British drama series Peaky Blinders.
Both Arthur and Ada are part of the infamous Shelby family in the BBC drama, played by Paul Anderson and Sophie Rundle, respectively.
Meanwhile, Cosmopolitan has put together a list of predictions in terms of old fashioned names it expects to be make a comeback in the next year or so, including Mary, Ethel and Lilian for a girl, and Ernest, Harold and Walter for a boy.
