Ola Jordan gives birth to miracle baby girl after gruelling IVF journey

Ola Jordan has given birth to a miracle baby girl after she and husband James Jordan struggled for years with infertility.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professionals welcomed their baby girl after Ola fell pregnant with help from IVF treatment.

The overwhelmed new parents announced the happy news in a social media post with their adoring fans.

Their sweet message was accompanied with a picture of their newborn's little feet.

James wrote: "I'm the happiest man in the world."

Ola also took to social media to share an image of her baby's small hands holding hers.

She wrote: "She’s here and she is perfect."

The good news comes after Ola spoke out about her heartbreak after desperately trying to fall pregnant for more than two years.

"I would love to be a mum with all my heart and I just thought it would happen naturally," she told Hello! magazine in January 2019.

"James is also desperate to have babies and I just wish it could have happened by now. That’s the one gift I would love to give him.

"I guess I just thought, like most women, that I could choose when the time was right for me; that I could have my career and then have a baby when it felt right. But for us it just hasn’t happened like that."

The couple, who have been married for over 15 years, then turned to IVF to help them realise their dream of parenthood.

"The irony is that for 17 years during our career we tried not to have children because dancing is not a career that easily fits in with family life," James pointed out.

"When we finally did try, it was a sting to realise we couldn't conceive straight away.

"After consultations we’ve realised we are one of the lucky ones and that, with help, hopefully one day we can realise our baby dreams."

Both he and Ola were asked 'constantly' about when they would have children, and admitted how the questions "cut like a knife" every time.

"Ideally you want to tell the story in the past tense with a bouncing baby in your arms," Ola said at the time.

"But I felt I had to speak now because in every interview we get asked when we are going to have a baby and it gets harder to keep trying to avoid the question and brush it off. It's got to the point where it's become upsetting, so we want to tell our story so it's in the open."

After finding out they were expecting, Ola and James documented every aspect of her pregnancy on social media, including the moment they found out they were having a girl.

"Can’t wait to meet you little munchkin," Ola shared on February 28. "ummy and Daddy are waiting!"

Huge congratulations to Ola and James!
