Ola Jordan drops three sizes in just four months after hitting 'low point in life'

Former Strictly professional Ola Jordan has dropped a whopping three dress sizes in just four months in a bid to completely overhaul her lifestyle.

The 40-year-old transformed her body, going from a size 14 to a size eight in just four months after discovering that her health was at risk due to her weight.

The Mirror reports how Ola admitted that she desperately longed for her former dancer body and doubted if she would ever feel 'sexy' again after welcoming her first child in 2020 and gaining weight during the pandemic.

Feeling so down about her looks and her weight, Ola would refuse to leave the house and became a 'shell of her former self' after gaining weight.

However, after turning her life around with exercise and a healthy diet, Ola has dropped over three stone in just a matter of eight weeks - and she has admitted that she feels like a brand-new person.

"I feel like I've lost a whole person. A size 14 was my biggest. I'm quite short as well so a size 14 for some people isn't big and that's the problem with weight and sizes because some people say a 14 isn't big," she explained.

"But being 5ft3 and a size 14 is big. I'm a size eight now. I missed my old self. There's nothing wrong with admitting it," she added to Mail Online.

The former Strictly star went on: "People now preach body positivity, and they accept it, but I really missed my old self and that's not just my body it was with dance and everything else. Health is important for me, and I want to stay healthy for as long as I can."

Speaking earlier this month, Ola and her husband James admitted they were encouraged to lose weight after having a 'wake-up call' when they shared an 'unflattering' picture of themselves in swimsuits this summer.

Both sharing the same post online, the couple's weight loss was clear to see as they walked towards the camera in the same outfit before and after losing the weight - with Ola donning a pink bikini and James shirtless in nothing but a pair of cream shorts.

"Hey watch us lose 6 1/2 Stone in 6 seconds!" James and Ola began with their message to their fans on Instagram.

"It took a bit longer than that in reality - four months in total. Although the first two weeks were quite dramatic. We lost 2 Stone between us in a fortnight. Pretty crazy eh?! But we had a lot to lose and you always lose more in the first couple of weeks."

The couple have previously spoken candidly about their weight loss - admitting an unflattering snap of themselves wearing swimwear was the motivation behind their transformation.

"We've come on here today just to have a little chat with you, because so many people have commented and noticed that myself and Ola have lost a considerable amount of weight, which we have and we're very proud of and very happy about it," James, 44, began as the two sat on the couch for a video update online last month.

"Since Ola posted that unflattering picture back in the summer, we have both shifted a lot of timber."

Ola, 40, continued: "I think we both needed that wake-up call and realisation where we'd got ourselves to.

James added: "Because we were unhealthy. We went to the doctor and were both told we were in the obese category. Which for us as professional dancers, to be told that you're obese wasn't very nice."

Ola said it was a 'hard pill' for them to swallow.

However, the dedicated couple decided to lose weight once and for all, and they did so by exercising more, watching what they eat as well as controlling their portion sizes.
