OL Matt Feiler agrees to 3-year contract with the Los Angeles Chargers

Another of the Pittsburgh Steelers top free agents are headed elsewhere. On the first day of legal tampering, it was reported that outside linebacker Bud Dupree had agreed to a contract with the Tennessee Titans. Now the Steelers are losing utility offensive linebacker Matt Feiler who has agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract with the Los Angeles Chargers.

Feiler started 39 games over the last three seasons. In 2018 and 2019 Feiler was the team’s starting right tackle for the majority of the time and moved to left guard in 2020.

The selection of Kevin Dotson in the 2020 NFL draft made Feiler expendable. A strong case could be made Dotson should have started in Feiler’s spot last season.
