Oktoberfest in Edinburgh: Beer tent returning to West Princes Street Gardens

Edinburgh isn't going to miss out on celebrating Oktoberfest, as the beer-drinking party returns to the city centre later this month.

A tent with a capacity for 1200 people will be set up in Princes Street Gardens between October 30 and November 3.

The capital has hosted an Oktoberfest party since 2013, with the best authentic German beer and food on offer.

There will also be live music from a Bavarian band in the tent, while there will be a special family Sunday lunch offer on the last day of the event.

Organisers say: "Over one long weekend you can experience everything that makes a real Oktoberfest. We’ll have live music, full Oktoberfest decoration.

"Setting up a giant tent for 1,200 people, we will bring you the feeling of being in an authentic Oktoberfest Tent in the middle of Edinburgh.

"Blue and white colors characterize the tent and our waitresses and waiters are dressed in Dirndl and Lederhosen. The tent is filled with long tables.

"We serve delicious giant beer specially made for Oktoberfest, and it is certain that you will not sit for long before you want to sing along and maybe stand on the benches."

Standard adult tickets are from £5 and can be booked here.
