Oktoberfest 2019: Electric Ballroom to host Camden's biggest beer festival

It may be summertime in the capital, but preparations for London’s Oktoberfest celebrations are already well underway.

The Standard can reveal that the Electric Ballroom will host Camden’s official Oktoberfest, welcoming thousands to enjoy copious amounts of bier and bratwurst.

The famous music venue will transform into a Bavarian beer hall for the festivities once again this year, with events taking place from 2pm-9pm on September 29, October 5, 12 and 19.

Herman Ze German is on board as the official food partner, making sure guests have plenty of sausage and schnitzel to keep them going.

Over 6,000 tickets are being released for the events, marking the biggest Camden Oktoberfest celebrations yet.

There’ll be live entertainment from two ten-piece drum and brass ensembles – the Old Dirty Brasstards and No Limit Street Band – bringing the party on each day. Club De Fromage DJs will also be spinning tunes and inviting guests to take part in challenges and competitions.

Fancy dress is encouraged too – so be sure to dig out your Lederhosen and Dirndl when October rolls around.

Tickets start from £10 and can be purchased here
