One of the biggest question marks surrounding the 2019 NFL Draft was whether or not Kyler Murray would ultimately decide to play baseball or football. On Monday afternoon, Murray made his official decision, choosing to commit to becoming an NFL quarterback:
While it’s unlikely the Raiders select a quarterback at No.4 overall, Murray deciding to choose football helps Oakland. If a team wants to move up for Murray, Oakland would be a team likely willing to trade down. And there is always the distinct possibility that Oakland would select him if they believe he is truly a franchise quarterback.
Nevertheless, Murray officially choosing football is about as big of news as you will get in February.
