The Oklahoma City Thunder announced on Friday that they have assigned Olivier Sarr back to its G League affiliate — the Oklahoma City Blue.
Sarr is currently on his second 10-day hardship deal, which he signed on Jan. 9. In 14 minutes this season, Sarr has scored two points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked two shots. With the Blue, he has averaged 7.5 points and 5.8 rebounds.
The 22-year-old went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft and was signed by the Thunder in October 2021. The seven-footer’s size adds intrigue to his player development as the Thunder do not have a true big on the roster outside of Derrick Favors.
