OKC has 40/1 odds for Kevin Durant starting 2019-20 season with them

No one knows where Kevin Durant will play at the start of next season. But with free agency coming up in about a month, there are a few teams that have been tied to him.

Durant has a player option for the 2019-20 season, and if he declines it, he will become an unrestricted free agent. Free agency recruitment will begin June 30 at 6 p.m., and during this time teams can negotiate deals with players but not sign them to official contracts.

The New York Knicks most notably are rumored to sign Durant in free agency this off-season. But according to betonline.ag, the Oklahoma City Thunder have 40/1 odds at signing him this summer.

If Durant returned to Oklahoma City, then that would obviously be a surprise. Durant infamously left the Thunder when he signed with the Golden State Warriors three years ago. Also, since most rumors are linking Durant to the Knicks, it would be surprising if Durant chose to play anywhere else.

Now a two-time champion, Durant is working to win his third title with the Warriors. He suffered a right calf strain in Game 5 of the Houston series, and he has not played since then. He will travel with the Warriors to Toronto for the first two games of the NBA Finals, but he will not play in Game 1 on Thursday.

With free agency rumors continuing to swirl around Durant, the biggest free agent in this upcoming class, it should be interesting to see where he ends up.
