Oil well management operator takes over drilling specialist

Aberdeen well management firm Exceed has taken over a subsea specialist based in Lowestoft.

The acquisition of Managed Pressure Resources (MPR) adds managed pressure drilling engineering and supervisory services to Exceed's portfolio.

MPR provides services such as analysis of management systems and well control manuals for the inclusion of managed pressure drilling operations. It actively develops internal competence of clients’ teams in managed pressure drilling concepts, techniques and operational execution.

Exceed provides well engineering and project management services for operators in the oil and gas business in the UK Continental Shelf and internationally.

Exceed managing director Ian Mills said: “The acquisition of MPR is an exciting new addition to Exceed’s range of services – and one which is entirely complementary to the well delivery process.
