It looks as though I might have spoken too soon yesterday when I said that the business impact of Hurricane Rita - which effectively means how much oil prices will go up - would be minimal. Today The BBC is reporting high oil prices that are likely to stay that way.
If this morning's earlier piece (along with all the smart predictions from other commentators) about Prime Minister Brown needing more taxes than he can raise in the face of falling national income is right, we're in for exceedingly tough times. And this is going to hit the self-employed/microbusiness owner/manager harder than most because it's they who tend to have lower reserves than most.
Time to start planning your business financials differently, perhaps.
