Oil & gas recruitment firm appoints new director

Aberdeen recruitment agency Prodrill Energy Resource Solutions has appointed oil & gas sector veteran Drew Alexander as client relationship director.

Alexander has more than 20 years of oil and gas recruitment experience and has been part of the management team for seven years at Prodrill.

He joins the board alongside managing director Louise Wood and co-director Julie Cowie.

Prodrill specialises in supplying personnel to the upstream energy industry, which is adapting to forthcoming legislation changes around IR35. The firm added that the promotion is part of its move to align it strategy with the oil and gas industry’s Vision 2035 ambition of recruiting an additional 25,000 people by 2025 and 40,000 by 2035.

Alexander said: “We have a superb depth of experience in our recruitment team which allows me to focus on driving performance and growing our client base on a global level.

“We continue to win new client contracts in Aberdeen, as well as London and the Middle East, and I’ll be overseeing client relationships to ensure the ongoing delivery of our core strengths.

Bob Watt has also joined Prodrill as senior technical resource specialist to support the business as it diversifies into the new sectors. He will focus on the well services and completions disciplines.

Prodrill said it has supported more than 2,000 client projects in 37 countries.
