Oil data firm OPEX boosts staff numbers after £1m contract wins

An Aberdeen firm which helps oil and gas firms harness the value of data about their operations has secured a clutch of contracts worth a total of £1 million since the new year.

The new orders won by OPEX since the start of 2020 will see it provide data science and predictive analysis services to a number of global oil and gas operators. A further 10 members of staff have been recruited by the business across including data analysts, data scientists and software developers to meet growing demand.

The company has also committed to investing a further £750,000 in research and development of new technology over the next 12 months, with several new service offerings in the pipeline.
