Ohio (1-2) vs. Louisiana (2-1) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
It’s a battle of two teams sure to be knee-deep in their respective conference races – this is like a good mid-level bowl.
Ohio’s offense is able to move the ball and great on third downs, but Louisiana is ripping through everything. The Ragin’ Cajuns gave Mississippi State a hard time, and the running game is rolling at will ever since averaging 337 yards per game. The Ohio run defense is okay overall, but it’s getting ripped up so far by ground attacks that weren’t as sharp or effective as ULL’s.
At home, Ohio will do a nice job of keeping things moving with a decent downfield passing game and enough offense to keep up the pace, but Louisiana is good for over 400 rushing yards per game lately.
The ground attack won’t get there against the Bobcats, but with no pass rush or ability to get into the backfield, they won’t do enough to get the devastating ground game off the field.
