Ohio State wrestling vs. Penn State: Watch Buckeye head coach Tom Ryan preview the biggest meet of the year

Alright. The stage is set. The No. 1 Penn State wrestling squad is traveling to No. 2 Ohio State Friday, and to say that both sides are lathered up for this one would be an understatement.

Both schools are loaded, but there’s no way around it — a win by the Buckeyes would be an upset. A mild one at home, but an upset nonetheless. Both teams have won a national title over the last few years, and in 2018, Penn State won the Big Ten regular season, while Ohio State won the Tournament title.

The teams finished No. 1 and No. 2 respectively in a tight affair for the national championship last year.

Head coach Tom Ryan took some time to meet with the media to breakdown the dual-meet. Get the full video here, and if you aren’t one that normally watches wrestling, this is one you’ll want to catch.

Remember, Ohio State lost its last rivalry matchup against Michigan in a close one earlier this year, but this one — believe it or not — is bigger. A win would likely get the Buckeyes into a position to tie for a regular season Big Ten title, while a loss would put that out of reach.

The match is set for Friday at 8:30 PM on BTN.
