Ohio State wrestling moves into new Jennings Facility

The Ohio State wrestling program has come a long way under head coach Tom Ryan. It’s now arguably the second best destination for college wrestling behind Penn State, and it has even slayed that beast a time or two over the last few years.

Now, for the next step and efforts to be king of college wrestling. It’s no secret that facilities play a major role in recruiting. It’s not the No. 1 reason potential commits choose a school, but it plays a pretty big part in selling the program.

It may already be paying dividends as well, with Ohio State recently landing the No. 1 rated recruiting class in the country.

It’s also no secret that OSU Athletic Director Gene Smith has downed a Horseshoe size container of that Kool-Aid and has thrown his support around the upgrade of several facilities on campus.

And now the latest that does indeed touch the wrestling program. Last week, the official Ohio State wrestling Twitter account shared a video of the team moving over to a brand new facility. When you watch the video, there’s no doubt the Jennings Wrestling Facility has a wow-factor and it might be hard to wipe the smiles off those in the program that have gotten their first taste.
