Ohio State women’s track and field team wins indoor Big Ten Championship

Notch another Big Ten title into the Buckeye belt.

The women’s indoor track and field team won the Big Ten Indoor Track and Field Championship Saturday in Ann Arbor, Michigan by running away with the competition by nearly 30 points, tallying a team total of 112.

Indiana finished in second place with 83 points, while Iowa finished third with 80. It’s Ohio State’s first indoor title since 2015, and third overall.

The Buckeyes also had three individual winners during the weekend. Senior thrower Sade Olatoye won first in the weight throw and shot put, and sophomore Anavia Battle finished first in the 200 meters with a meet record of 22.80 seconds.
