The Ohio State women’s basketball team is sure getting some big time reinforcements coming to the program. After signing four — count ’em — four 5-star recruits in the 2019 class, head coach Kevin McGuff and staff have reeled in another with the verbal of Kateri Poole for the class of 2020.
Poole, a point-guard, is rated as the No. 16 recruit in the country according to ESPN and will provide a good foundation of the 2020 class. She’ll join Kierston Bell (No. 6 overall), Rikki Harris (24), Kaelynn Satterfield (39) and Jacy Sheldon (41), all respective 5-star recruits that combined for the third rated class in the country last recruiting cycle.
Ohio State had a bumpy start to the 2018-2019 season but began to find itself somewhat as the season wore on. There’s only one senior on the roster (Jensen Caretti), and with a young nucleus, the Buckeyes should be a force in the Big Ten and nationally over the next few years.
