Ohio State has an embarrassment of talent in many positions on the football team, but in particular at wide receiver. In the past 3 years, the Buckeyes have secured the No. 2 rated receiver in Garret Wilson and the last two No. 1 ranked receivers in Julian Fleming and Emeka Egbuka. Throw in other highly rated recruits like Marvin Harrison, Jr. and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and it’s enough to make any opposing defensive coordinator’s head explode.
There just isn’t room for everyone to get on the field, so inevitably, guys are going to take a look at places they might get more playing time. And the latest to do so at Ohio State is Jameson Williams. Williams is the second Buckeye receiver to enter the transfer portal this off-season, joining Mookie Cooper.

Ohio State has since confirmed Williams transfer portal decision. While this does take some experience from the roster at wideout, it does open the door for some of the highly touted youngsters to step up and show what they can do.
