Although the Ohio State Buckeyes absolutely destroyed the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, the game between the two top-15 teams was the highest-rated of the entire day.
This only reason this is somewhat of an odd accomplishment is that the two other high-profile games also played. Louisiana State, also a top-three team, took on No. 9 Auburn.
However, that’s even understandable. What is really surprising is that Ohio State-Wisconsin outshined Notre Dame-Michigan, a matchup that most likely draws high ratings due to the history between the programs.
That said, Fox Sports PR reported that Ohio State-Wisconsin was “Saturday’s top-rated college football game on any network.”
Ohio State cruised to a 38-7 victory over Wisconsin. They showed the casual fan that this team is for real. This team is arguably the best in the country, and now we know why.
However, don’t expect it to change anything in the rankings quite yet, but in a few weeks when Alabama takes on LSU, Ohio State, if still undefeated will make their way into the top-two.
