It’s time for the sequel, and we can only hope in this case the second one is better than the first — well, at least if you’re Wisconsin. In Columbus in late October, there was some “Midwest” weather, then things got away from the Badgers in the second half.
Weather won’t be a problem in Lucas Oil Stadium unless there’s a roof leak, but there’s still the little issue of dealing with this Ohio State team that has cast aside every challenge faced before it with bad intentions.
We’ve already previewed the game and made a bold prediction, asked for a Badgers’ writer perspective on things, and now we’re asking our staff to make their call on the game individually.

I think this one is closer than what we saw in the ‘Shoe. Wisconsin will have a little more success offensively by studying the game film of the Penn State and Michigan game, but won’t be able to put together enough drives to keep up with the scoring pace the Buckeye offense set.
Look for it to be tight again up into the second half before Ohio State does what it does every week and wears down the opposition with talent and depth. Then, it’s off to the College Football Playoff for the third time in six years.

Wisconsin is eager to show it is better than the one-sided affair that took place earlier in the season when the Buckeyes put a 38-7 whoopin’ on the Badgers.
Ohio State will overmatch a Wisconsin team that just doesn’t have the same kind of playmakers on offense. JK Dobbins is peaking at the right time, as is the emergence of true freshman Garrett Wilson in the passing game to go along with Chris Olave.
The Buckeyes win in a route and secure the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff.

Buckeyes should cap off the regular season with a comfortable win in the Big Ten Championship. The controlled environment should help the offenses and I expect the good guys to pull it out. Ohio State may not beat up on Wisconsin like it did the last time, but it will still cruise to a third-straight Big Ten Title and the top seed in the College Football Playoff on Sunday. If you remember the last time these two teams played, the awful weather conditions limited the Buckeye offense early and I expect them to get things rolling quickly in the friendly confines of Lucas-Oil Stadium. My biggest concern going into this weekend for Ohio State is if the Buckeyes end up in my hometown of Atlanta for the semifinal.
