Here we go, Buckeyes fans. It’s time for another set of game predictions, this time with a game vs. Penn State on the road on tap.
After an offseason of drama and despair, one that looked as if Ohio State and Big Ten football weren’t going to happen, we are to the point where we’re ready to get on with game two after what felt like a business trip win over Nebraska by 35-points.
There is no whiteout this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, but the Nittany Lions have presented more of a challenge than any other team in the Big Ten over the last few years.
It should be one whale of a game, and we’re here to tell you what’s going to happen.

Here is what three of our writers believe will happen on the gridiron at the base of Mount Nittany Saturday night.
Next … the predictions

Ohio State 32, Penn State 20
This will be a game in which Ohio State has to wear down the opposition. Penn State gets up to play the Buckeyes more than any other team on the schedule, and it’ll be ready to make a statement after dropping an unexpected one against Indiana last week.
Still, there’s just too much talent and too much on the line for the Buckeyes. After a slow start, Justin Fields and OSU will kick it in gear and win one that doesn’t have too much drama associated with it.

Night games with the “White Out” are usually a scary prospect for opposing teams coming to Happy Valley, but no fans mean no sea of white. On top of that, Penn State comes into this game at less than full force. This game will be played on Halloween night, but I see no need for the Buckeyes to be frightened.
With only eight games scheduled in the season, the Buckeyes know they need to make a statement each week. Ohio State will do so once again this week by dominating a Nittany Lion team trying to pick itself up off the mat, but the Bucks deliver the knockout punch to Penn State’s season.

Rivalry games are hard to predict. Also, considering Penn State has a lot it wants to prove after last week, I think the game is close for longer than some want or expect. The Nittany Lions will make some mistakes that allow Ohio State to pull away. The Buckeyes are just too high-powered on offense and have a better secondary than they’re given credit for. Advantage Scarlet and Gray.
