The Buckeyes kept on rolling Saturday against Big Ten foe Indiana putting up big numbers offensively and stifling the Hoosiers on defense.
Every aspect of the game just seemed to flow for OSU. To borrow from Urban Meyer’s halftime comments, the Bucks were flat out dominating.
The Redhawks of Miami await as a final tune up before a big one in Lincoln with the Huskers.
Next … The game plan
Ohio State game plan for victory
Let’s keep this simple, shall we? Ohio State is one of the top teams in the country… Miami (Ohio) is not. The game plan for victory will be not to get caught looking ahead and use a game like this to fine tune a few things and make sure no one gets hurt.
Remember a few weeks ago when we thought Cincinnati might give the Bucks a run for their money and then were promptly ran out of the building with a 42-0 smack down? Well, those same Bearcats, who could do nothing as Ohio State had its way with them, just gave Miami a similar beating last week winning 35-13.
The Redhawks just aren’t that good folks. They won’t be very good even in the Mid-American Conference where they reside.
The game plan will be to give a heavy dose of JK Dobbins and Justin Fields. The Buckeyes should be able to do just about anything they like and take some time to experiment a little too. But don’t look for anything too fancy. Ryan Day will not want to give Nebraska any leverage.
The defense has been a whole new unit this year. Amazing what a fresh set of eyes can do as co-defensive coordinators Greg Mattison and Jeff Hafley have totally revamped the defense into what we’re used to seeing at Ohio State. Miami will have trouble getting anything going, although I believe the Redhawk punter will get plenty of face time on BTN.
Just stay focused on the task at hand, let the second and third team get some reps, and call it a day.

Two Key Players For Ohio State
Chris Olave, Wide Receiver. Chris Olave is turning into a fan favorite. The guy just does everything. He runs crisp routs, has sure hands, and oh yeah… he blocks punts too. Olave has a chance to be the next big receiver to come out of Columbus. He’s earning favor with Justin Fields which could turn into a great connection for another year and a half.
Damon Arnette, Cornerback. Has anyone showed as much improvement as Damon Arnette this season? OSU great and Hall of Famer, Chris Carter told him he wasn’t ready to go to the NFL just yet at the end of last season. Arnette listened and came back to help lead the Buckeyes. And it’s paying off. He’s in the right places at the right times and making timely plays. Check out the pick six from Saturday’s game.

The prediction
This one will be a laugher and over before you get to that second round of buffalo wings.
The Bucks will score early and often taking a sizable lead into halftime before giving way to the reserves midway through the third quarter.
Justin Fields and JK Dobbins will lead the way once again, but their numbers may not look as gaudy as the first three games with a bigger lead and less playing time. However, the likes of Chris Chugunov, Master Teague III, Demario McCall and others could fill the gaps.
Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere as it’ll probably be the last time your pulse isn’t racing during a Buckeye game for a while. Better competition is coming… and the Bucks are just getting started.
