After the last idle week of 2019, the Ohio State football team prepares to host a Maryland team that would probably like to start the season over. There are no mulligans in big-time college football (or pee-wee for that matter), so onward and upward.
The ‘Terps will travel to the ‘Shoe to try and stay competitive at least with the new College Football Playoff No. 1 team in the land.
Hardly anyone’s giving the Terps a chance — most notably the odds makers that have put an astronomical line on this game. That’s right, you can get in on the action if you believe Ohio State can win by more than 42.5 points in this one.
Truth be known, there’s reason to take that bet, but don’t look to us for sage investment advice. Instead, just look to us to entertain you with our contributors predictions for the Ohio State vs. Maryland contest set to kick off at Noon on FOX.

Ohio State 52, Wisconsin 17
Even the bus driver taking Maryland to the ‘Shoe has more skill than the one driving the Ohio State team. You have to play the game as they say, but this one could get out of hand early. I take Ohio State easy in this one across all fronts. It’ll hit the gas from start to finish. The hare beats the tortoise, er — terrapin this time.

Ohio State 56, Maryland 0
Ohio State will have its way with Maryland. Look for more of the same. A steady dose of JK Dobbins, Justin Fields, and Chris Olave will score early and often.Even though Halloween is over, Chase Young and company will be a nightmare for the Terrapin offense. I see Young adding to his nation leading sack total and the secondary forcing several turnovers.
Don’t be late to the show, the second act will be in before you know it.

This one feels more personal than it should, only because of last season’s double OT scare. Ohio State is a -42.5 point favorite, which is ridiculous. Crazier thing is the spread will be even higher against Rutgers (I’m guessing 51.5). Anyways, this one shouldn’t be any different than playing Northwestern. But they won’t cover the spread.

Different year, different result. The defense remembers what happened last year and will remain focused and get their revenge.

This year will be much different than last years game. Ohio state will dominate and continue the consistency that we have seen all season. JK dobbins will have over 140 rushing yards and Fields will have himself a day sharing the wealth with everyone.On the defensive side Young will continue the consistent dominance with a couple sacks and the defensive will totally shut down Maryland.
