After completely dismantling Nebraska on the road this past weekend, Ohio State comes back home this weekend to host Michigan State in its second consecutive night game of the year. It’s another hurdle to go against perhaps the best defense it has all year, and another step along a journey that now has much higher expectations.
And now, according to a release from Ohio State, it appears the Buckeyes will be in those all black alternate jerseys.
Though some traditionalists among Buckeye Nation don’t like changing the iconic look of the Scarlet and Gray uniforms, alternates are here to stay. The kids of today love them, and most of the fan base agrees that it spices things up a bit. We’ve even gotten into the act and ranked those alternate jerseys through the years and it is definitely a hot topic.
Also, the university is also asking fans to join the team and wear black.
So get in on the action and show Michigan State that their chances of coming into the ‘Shoe and beating Ohio State in 2019 will be a daunting one. Dare we say, the team might leave the stadium a bit black and blue?
