We already heard about Ryan Day’s plans for naming a starting quarterback Monday after the team went through practice and workouts this week. Now we have a release from Ohio State that confirms the starting quarterback will be available to the media after practice Monday.
So, even though we felt good about knowing who was going to get the call under center sometime Monday, you wondered just a little if that would be pushed back. Based on the release, it would now seem to confirm that we’ll know who that guy will be.
And, we also got a pretty good clue of who’s going to be named the starter when Day said Fields has had some really good days of practice lately in his press conference last Wednesday.
So here’s the deal. Ryan Day will be made available around 11:15 AM, and you can expect breaking news of who will get to be the next starting quarterback on the Banks of the Olentangy right around that time.
