The Ohio State alumni team — the basketball artist formerly known as Team Scarlet & Gray — is back for another run in The Basketball Tournament. But there are changes. Because of copyright issues with Ohio State, the team had to change its name. It is now known as Carmen’s Crew, complete with a crossed out M for a true Buckeye squad.
The roster remains mostly intact, but there are some subtle changes with new guys like Lenzelle Smith, Jr. and Deshaun Thomas that still have Ohio State in their blood. But guys like Aaron Craft, David Lighty, and Jon Diebler are all back. Also a part of the change in name means new uniforms, and those too have been shared via Carmen’s Crew official Twitter feed. Nobody really had amazing threads in TBT, but they’re — shall we say — scarlet and gray.
Here’s a look at the new uniforms you’ll be seeing once the team kicks things off at Capital University on 07/19 as the No. 1 seed in the Midwest Region.
