The latest Amway Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports is out and Ohio State is still stuck at No. 3 just behind Alabama and Notre Dame.
To be fair, the Buckeyes had a shot to impress and move up this week, but a close shave against Indiana — albeit in the top ten — wasn’t enough to change the minds of the coaches that vote in this thing. The Buckeyes made far too many mistakes and let a big lead slip away.
Still, it was a win, and in the year 2020, it won’t hurt OSU’s chances of reaching its ultimate goals.
Coming in behind the top three teams and rounding out the top ten are Clemson (4), Florida (5), Texas A&M (6), Cincinnati (7), BYU (8), Miami (9), and Georgia (10).
Ohio State next takes on Illinois Saturday on the road.
