Ohio State still behind Alabama and LSU in the Week 11 AP Poll

The Ohio State Buckeyes had a week off, and although it doesn’t come as a surprise, they are still behind Alabama in the Week 11 AP Poll.

That said, the Week 11 AP Poll has been released, and it has LSU at the top followed by Alabama, Ohio State, and Clemson. That is the typical order in most polls, but it all seems like a continuation of a populatity contest to say the least.

Obviously, with three then-top-10 victories, Lousiana State has had the most impressive victories of any team in the country and thereby is deserving of the top overall spot, but Ohio State has two victories over currently top-20 teams. What’s more, it lost some ground despite the top three teams being off for the week. Apparently Alabama and LSU watched the games better from the couch than the Buckeyes.

Still, Bama is ranked ahead of Ohio State, and it’s a mind-boggling system. It’ll be interesting to see what happens with the first College Football Playoff official rankings are released Tuesday.

As for the entire top ten, the AP Poll rounds it out with Penn State, Georgia, Oregon, Utah, Oklahoma, and Florida. Georgia is the first one-loss team while Florida is the first two-loss team.
