Ohio State safety Jordan Fuller says he’s cleared medically after missing spring practice

In case you’ve been away from things for awhile (who could blame you with all that’s going on in the sports and political worlds), Ohio State safety Jordan Fuller missed spring practice due to an undisclosed injury that involved corrective surgery.

That was a footnote to spring ball, but still a very important one for a Buckeye secondary that returns a ton of talent — Fuller being one of those expected to be a captain and All Big-Ten type talent.

There’s still a journey ahead of him to be sure, but according to a Tweet he sent on Tuesday, it appears he has been cleared medically to get back on the field and get things going.

That’s great news for Ohio State. Fuller had led the team in tackles both of the last two seasons and was a team captain last year as well. He’s been a significant contributor the last three years and should be leaned on heavily by the defense in the upcoming season, so long as he is 100% healthy.

He’s already appeared on the LOTT Impact Trophy watch list, and you can bet he’ll find his way on more as those start to come out in earnest.

Fuller postponed his NFL career to come back to Columbus for one more ride, and it looks like he’s going to get that chance.
