Ohio State’s Parris Campbell posted NFL combine’s fastest 40-yard dash time (so far)

Former Ohio State wide receiver Parris Campbell is having a fantastic NFL combine.

Campbell — who had 1,063 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns for the Buckeyes on 90 catches for the Buckeyes last season — put up the fastest 40-yard dash time (so far) in the combine at 4.32 seconds unofficially.

But how does that compare with some of the NFL’s top wide receivers from their combines?

The NFL Network’s simulcam put Campbell’s run next to Odell Beckham Jr., Julio Jones and Antonio Brown, and the 6-foot-0, 205-pound former Buckeye beat them all.

Campbell’s time was officially changed to 4.31, which is less than a tenth of a second off of John Ross’ combine record of 4.22 from 2017.

(UPDATE: Massachusetts’ Andy Isabella also posted an official 4.31 time.)

It’s also officially .02 seconds ahead of the next fastest receiver, Georgia’s Mecole Hardman, and a tenth faster than his Buckeye teammate Johnnie Dixon, according to the NFL.

Earlier this week, his hands also measured at 9 1/2 inches, while his arms were 32 1/4 inches.

He notched 11 bench press reps, had a 40-inch vertical jump and an 11-foot 3-inch broad jump, unofficially. But his 40-yard dash was his headlining skill that blew people away. Even noted Ohio State fan LeBron James was impressed.
