Ohio State’s Luke Pletcher finishes as All-American at NCAA Championships

The Ohio State wrestling team is competing in Pittsburgh this weekend, and although they now have no shot at catching Penn State for the national championship, it has been a very productive outing for the second-place Buckeyes.

Myles Martin has already earned All-American status for the fourth consecutive year, and you can also add Luke Pletcher to that for the second time.

Pletcher, the No. 5 seed at 133 lbs. made it all the way to the semifinals before falling to No. 1 Daton Fix of Oklahoma State. He then had to win two matches to finish on the podium. He fell a little short in the third place match, but was able to gut out a win over No. 8 seed Austin DeSanto of Iowa to garner All-American status.

Congrats to Luke Pletcher!
